Can you believe summer is already over? I promise you it feels as if school just ended. Where in the world did the time go? Anyway, it’s time to say goodbye to late nights and late mornings. Back to the hustle and bustle of homework, packing lunch bags with their favorite snacks, getting the kiddos into bed at night even though they’re not tired and waking them up in the morning even though they’re still tired. I’m tired just thinking about it.
To prep for the school year, back to school shopping is a must. Since kids grow so quickly at this age, a new wardrobe is always needed. As moms, we want quality clothes that will last and our kids want items that look good and express their personal style. That’s why I’m so happy I was able to get durable and adorable outfits from Oshkosh B’gosh for my girls so they can take on the new school year in style.
Oh, did I mention, my youngest just started kindergarten? Oh, the tears! When my sister helped her try on her outfits, I bawled looking at my little girl with her backpack and lunch bag in tow. Why must they grow up soooo fast??
About that shopping trip to OshKosh B’gosh, nothing short of a breeze.
On the day we headed out, I had to make a mental checklist. Unicorns, puppies, comfy leggings, shiny tops and “not-too-short” pants – I kept repeating the list to myself as I crossed the street and headed into the store. As I approached the store with my 2 young girls, I hoped all could be found in one shopping trip. We opened the door and my 5-year-old quickly added to my mental list – “Don’t forget bracelets,” she said. I reviewed the list again, this time adding bracelets.
We found Unicorn tunics and comfy leggings to the right,”not-too-short” pants and shiny tops in the center aisle, and puppies everywhere else. After a few minutes, I realized finding the items on my list wasn’t the issue, it was staying on budget. With SALE signs everywhere, it’s hard to not want to pick everything up.
I walked out of the store – both hands holding bags and the hands of my little girls – feeling like the queen of back to school shopping. Another parent walked in and I could see the expression on her face – she was making a mental checklist, too (I know the look). We smiled and went on with our day.
OshKosh B’gosh has yet to let me down when it comes to fulfilling my back to school shopping needs. My kids are fashionistas in the making and I know OshKosh B’gosh has such a wide variety of styles that they will have everything my girls want and more.
Have you completed your back to school shopping yet? What was on your mental checklist this year?
