Running my own business isn’t easy. I love it, I promise you I do but it’s hard work. It means long hours on my computer composing blog posts and editing photos and videos. With all the time I spend on my computer, I find myself grabbing snacks and lots of them. I unconsciously found myself grabbing chocolate bars and salty snacks. One day I realized, as my jeans got a bit more fitted, I wasn’t making the best snacking decisions. Believe me when I tell you, the calories in bags of chips, cups of ice cream, and mini chocolate bars add up – and not in a good way. I knew I needed to make a change so instead of cutting back on all snacks, I created a game plan for operation Healthy Snacking.

I listed all of the snacks I usually eat and replaced those unhealthy snacks with healthier options. While shopping in Giant Food store, I saw some interesting Weight Watchers products and decided to try them out.

I opted for the Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Bars because I’ve always loved ice cream bars. I remember eating them from time to time after school growing up. This swap allows me to be able to enjoy a sweet treat without feeling guilty about packing on the calories. It’s also the perfect mix of ice cream and chocolate. Quick and convenient, just like I like my snacks.

I swapped my potato chips for the Jolly Time Popcorn and I’m happy I did. I usually snack on chips in the middle of the day while blogging and now I can enjoy more popcorn for less calories than a bag of chips. Win-win for me.

What are some not-so-healthy snacks you indulge in that can be swapped for a healthier Weight Watchers treat? They have such a wide variety of snacks to choose from. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.

Want to try some healthy snacks by Weight Watchers? Now through 9/28/16, stop by your local Giant Food store and save $3 instantly when you buy any five participating Weight Watchers products (excluding Heinz SmartOnes & Meeting Room products). While supplies last.

Let me get back to enjoying my ice cream bar without the guilt afterward. Ha!

Well, HA, I can think of a lot of snacks I can trade over to become healthier. I can say lately, I’ve started to add a healthy smoothie to my diet while trying to avoid unhealthy snacking. Some days are good other days not so good. It’s definitely a transition to get back to at least my halfway of healthy eating like I once had.

  • I’m definitely a snacker so finding healthier options helps a lot. Thanks for sharing.

These Weight Watchers Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Bars look so good. It can be hard to always snack healthy. I will have to try these.

  • Mary Beth Elderton

I haven’t seen these ice cream bars. I love an afternoon snack, and sometimes I just want something sweet. These look delicious.

I have learned that sharing out a snack in a small bowl instead of bringing the whole bag over will help limit how much I eat. However the most important healthy snacking tip is to only keep healthy snacks in the house, otherwise the temptation is too much.

  • Jessica Cox

My family loves eating popcorn as a snack and sugar free popsicles

  • Marilyn Nawara

Sugar free Jello is my favorite low-cal snack. I make a box and put it in small plastic cups in the fridge and then grab one when I have the urge for a snack.

  • Nancy

My healthy snacking tip is to prep and prepackage snacks of grape tomatoes, baby carrots, celery, etc and a small portion of hummus or guacamole. If I am really hungry, that sounds good to me. If that doesn’t sound good to me, then it is not real hunger that I am feeling.

  • Stephanie Larison

My healthy snacking tip is plan ahead so when you’re out, you can grab something already made so you’re not tempted to eat unhealthy. My girls love raisins when we’re out, or sometimes I take portion size baggies of gold fish. For me, I’m a yogurt girl. I have at least 2 a day, it’s healthy and easy to grab on the go.

To keep on track it all comes down to being prepared so that you don’t resort to getting something from a vending machine, because it will always be “just this one time” over and over again. I am glad when companies come out with pre-portioned low calorie packs so you can see for yourself repetitively what a portion size really looks like. You can indulge, just the right away. Carrots/hummus, peppers, tomatoes, and fruit with a bottle of water.

  • Christian Alejandro

My tip is to limit snacks outside of the dining area. It’s easy to go overboard when eating and watching TV.

  • Tee Anderson

I like to wash and cut up veggies like carrots and celery so when you are hungry its already prepped for eating. I make sure to add all the healthy snacks on your shopping list, so you don’t forget.

My Snacking Tip is To Pre-Pack Sensible Snacks In Baggies Like Fruit, Nuts, Veggies, It Makes It Easy To Grab On The Go.

  • tracylr

My tip is to keep the fruits interesting. I grew up with apples, oranges, bananas and occasionally grapes, but now regular grocery stores sell so many different and exotic fruits. It isn’t hard to find something new to try every now and again.

  • Rocky jones

Your outfits are very cute btw. But yes I can enjoy this I love popcorn and
could eat it everyday. Where is the best place to get weight watchers food ?

  • Deb F

My snacking tip is to cut out all sugar – when you don’t eat sugar for a while fruit tastes amazingly sweet. 🙂 I used to have to put sugar on my strawberries but now they practically taste like candy.

  • Denise L

Healthy snacking can be difficult. I try to bring lots of fruit and nuts with me to work because that’s my worst snacking time. Unfortunately my boss likes to stock the office with all kinds of goodies. I try to keep my mind on the end goal and use that as inspiration!

  • Kimberly

My healthy snacking tips are: I try to supplement a craving for sweets by eating fruit/yogurt/dried fruit chips instead. As well I try to incorporate more flavored water/tap water in place of drinking real sugary drinks.

  • Rosie

I’m getting hungry looking at these good snacks! I try to make sure that only healthy snacks are around – that helps! I also look for something new and not expensive all the time, every week at least one thing haven’t tried before that keeps it kind of an adventure and reading labels and learning more!

  • Nancy Bowers

I snack on an apple half with walnuts or a spoonul of peanut butter. I also like stove top popcorn with cheese micro melted on top. Another favorite is reduced fat string cheese. I have to have protein or fat any time I have carbs to manage reactive hypoglycemia.

  • geriheartnsoulcooking

I snack on homemade yogurts with fresh fruit, I also like to cut up celery or cucumbers with ranch dressing. If I want something sweet sugar free chocolate puddings.

  • Janet Watson

One of my healthy snacking tips is to not buy that impulsive unhealthy food at the grocery store to begin with! My favorite snack is apple slices with peanut butter.

My go-to healthy snack is low-fat cottage cheese and reduced fat triscuits 🙂

  • Natalie

Those cookies and cream Weight Watchers treats are calling my name. My healthy snacking tip is to snack on already cut up fruits such as apples. If they are precut, you are more likely to eat them.

  • shellypeterson

It can be difficult to always snack healthy. I do enjoy to splurge from time to time. But I love snacking on fresh fruit, nuts, cheese and yogurt. The best way to avoid a lot of bad snacking is to not have it in the house.

  • Sarah Hayes

I try to figure out what my body needs and eat that as a snack. I try to stick to something that has protein. I also like to get the proper portion so I dont over do it. Its also important to treat yourself every once in a while! an ice cream bar is a great snack when you really want one

  • Mandala

Eating chips while watching my TV shows is one of my guilty pleasures. I try to eat small meals in between to justify the snacking. Also I drink lots of water and have avoided sodas. I occasionally would indulge in a small piece of dark chocolate when I am craving sweets.

  • Christy

One thing I do is drink plenty of water and eat things with not a lot of sugar. I also eat 5 small meals a day instead of three big ones

  • Zoey

If I get a big bag of a snack, I like to portion it out into ziploc bags to help me with portion control.

  • Angella L

Frozen yogurt is our rare treat but my kids love organic yogurt the plain kind. I am not sure how I pulled that off but I much rather them eat yogurt then junkier types of food.

  • Dana Rodriguez

I drink a lot of water myself. It helps me feel fuller longer. That ice cream looks good!

  • Amanda Morris

I love eating all types of fruits and veggies as a simple snack. I also really enjoy almondS for a healthy snack .

  • Joshua PettyPrince Kiryuu

Most fruits and vegetables taste great and are a healthy exchange for sugary snacks. Granola and plain yogurt mixed together is also pretty yummy, in my opinion. I also like to eat saltless crackers but its not for everyone, haha. Hope this helped!

  • Michelle Castagne

Popcorn is a great snack and it fills you up. Cheese and plain yogurt with fresh fruit is also good.

  • Courtney Wood

I plan my meals every Sunday and I fill Snack baggies with sliced Veggies and Fruits and then I get like a Greek Yogurt Dip to dip them in.

  • Sarah Cool

I love pudding jellow and rice cakes for snacking because there yummy and are low calorie. When i have one of those days where i just cant seem to get full I go for the lowest cal popcorn i think mine is the same as you have pictured and i also go for celery and carrots because all 3 are super filling and much healthier than typical snacks.
